Fuseholders
 Bulgin’s extensive range of fuseholders are designed to give the degree of protection demanded in today’s sophisticated electronic equipment. Carrying world-wide safety approvals from UL, VDE, CSA, SEMKO and IMQ, all types are manufactured from high grade flame retardant nylon and polyester materials.
Designed primarily for 5 x 20mm and 6.3 x 32mm size fuses with protection against shock to categories PC1, PC2 and PC3. There’s a choice of styles for in-line, PCB mounting and panel mounting (screw or snap fit) with terminal options for solder, 2.8mm, 4.8mm or 6.3mm tabs or PC spills.
Dust and waterproof designs provide a front of panel seal to IP68 in both 5 x 20mm and 6.3 x 32mm size fuses.
Fuse carrier styles include captive drawer, screw cap – with screw driver release, bayonet cap – with screw driver release and screw cap – with finger release.

Saint Elme Active 2D lightning conductor remote control tester:
The Saint Elme Active 2D® lightning conductor can be tested on site, with its
remote control tester (initial checking, periodic checking in compliance with
NFC 17 – 102 and decrees in force, maintenance,…)
Simple and fast, the test does not require any particular operation of lightning
conductor dismounting and can be done safety from the ground.
Active 2D® remote control testers use the communication by Radio waves, and
create any electromagnetic perturbation.
Saint Elme Active 2D® lightning conductors and their testers are both
equipped with one transmitter / receiver : bi- directional emission and
reception.

Principle & operating
The ACTIVE 1D excitation advance is obtained by a device
named, " impulse device ". Its principle consists in storing
electrostatic energy present in the Atmosphere at a stormy
cloud approach, to release the ascending discharge excitation
in good time.
This device operates at a stormy activity approach by an integrated
sensor which measures the surrounding electrical field
value.
It provokes then a polarity inversion of the lightning conductor
head, creating a sudden amplification of the electrical
field on its tip.
Active 1D Features:
• Consider the energetic parameter to choose the streamer
which has the capacity to become an ascending leader,
• Autonomous and clean energy source: Atmospheric electrical field,
• Cloud polarity consideration,
• Head curve radius optimized to reduce the Corona effect and guarantee the excitation device,

Active 1D radius of protection:
The Early Streamer Emission (ESE) ACTIVE 1D® lightning conductor has been tested in laboratories in compliance with NF C 17-102 standard protocol. These tests have determined an excitation advance of 12μs
with regard to a simple rod.
The ACTIVE 1D® radii of protection here below mentioned, are defined for the three
Np levels of protection (from I to IV) depending on the height h between lightning
conductor tip and the structure highest point to protect.

- Np: Level of protection with different severity levels (I to IV) determined by lightning risk assessment. IEC 62305-2 standard,
